Plus MCX is a nationwide critical communications network. The dedicated 420 MHz frequency guarantees smooth group communication in emergency situations: threats, natural disasters or mass failures. For this reason, the offer is addressed to people managing security in provinces, municipalities or large enterprises, especially in critical areas such as the energy sector. A separate offer and a precisely defined target group required the Plus brand to create a dedicated visual identity.

The distinctiveness of the target group, the nature of the service and the tasks performed had to be highlighted in the branding structure. At the same time, the branding had to include the nationally recognisable Plus symbol. The main task in developing the symbol was to find the right balance between the designed MCX lettering and the Plus logotype. The final solution emphasises contrast – in shapes and proportions.

The starting point for the colour scheme was the desire to combine the recognisable green of the Plus brand with a reflective version of this colour, which is encoded almost at a behavioural level. The combination of vivid green with shades of silver and grey is the code for high-visibility vests and special clothing, which has been translated into the communication materials for the Plus MCX service.

The lettering system is designed to build credibility in the areas of technology and safety. On the one hand, the typographical order responds to the needs of an elegant B2B brand, while on the other, it evokes associations with the displays of special-purpose machines.

The leitmotif of the MCX service is presented in a different light and colour scheme, ‘plus.’ Here, it evokes the moon – an orbiting satellite, always present and ready for action.
