Google for Startups is one of several international startup hubs run by Google. On the occasion of the first anniversary of its operations in Poland, Campus Warsaw commissioned designing and production of a celebration gift for members and VIPs. Our task was the overall execution of the project while having unlimited creative freedom.
Year
2016
Scope
Packaging, copywriting, production.
Each branch’s designs were based on intuition and a general sense of the brand rather than strict directives. Our design had to fit in visually with a style that was still not fully established without straying too far away.
The reference point to the choice of the gift was the location of the Campus, which was an old, well-respected vodka distillery – Koneser (meaning "connoisseur" in polish). The shape and edges draw inspiration from the gothic style of the building's architecture.
We distanced ourselves from the typical strong alcohol designs and kept things simple and minimalistic to make it stand out. And while we believe that less is more, we couldn’t resist using fancy white sealing wax for the final touch.
as the recipients should be able to tell it was made with care and attention to detail. Such results are difficult to achieve on a factory line, but the customer experience is a priority. The choice of the Kreativkarton papers set allowed the best use of the colour palette and texture. Silkscreen printed graphics added the pleasant embossment, which can be felt with your fingertips.
What cannot be in the photos is how all the elements correspond with each other. One has to hold Google Vodka in hand to feel the texture, see how well fitted the two parts of the paper tube are, hear the perfect sound they make when opened. We’re delighted with the attention to detail we applied, resulting in a complete, polished experience.
